I keep reading about #sustainability, being #green, slowly introducing #energy efficient devices and controls at home and in the office, and honestly I have very mixed feelings about the whole thing.
First of all, energy-efficient controls such as occupancy sensors and other RF devices are very expensive. If you count the number of oc. sensors and switches you have to install in an average office or#eco-friendly house, the cost adds up very quickly.

I have mixed feelings about the whole “Green”, sustainable living thing. I do recycle heavily at home and at the office, but it’s costing me more money. Despite the cost I have decided to get off the grid. Not because it’s just the right thing to do (because the products and technology available today are unaffordable to the masses and are truly a luxury), but mainly because, unlike Warren Buffet, I do not believe that an economic recovery is possible before a global economic collapse happens and the clocks are reset.
