February 10, 2002, CableOrganizer.com was born, out of a $30.00 investment, a website and a free shopping cart module integrated to our Quickbooks®… I almost miss those days of packing ’til 2 o’clock in the morning between newborn feedings, setting traps to catch the rats and mice that binged on cardboard boxes and my daily runs to the post office with bunches of boxes…Good old days.
Oh yes, and I forgot that I almost got a ticket from the Sheriff. Those guys never bothered to visit our cul-de-sac, but of course, the day I decided to spray paint my garage floor, driveway and street to put marks every 10 feet (up to 100 feet) to measure wire loom and braided sleeving custom lengths faster, the cop catches me right in the act. I saved myself by telling him the paint was water based and would fade away after the next rain shower.
Oh and there was that time that I got yelled at by The Boeing Company because I picked up the phone to take their order on Christmas day. That was funny and that was the best Christmas present because that was a $20,000.00 order!
And then there was the day that I was on the phone with a customer and my dog Megabyte (a 7 pound Maltese) chased a squirrel in the backyard, fell into the pool and almost drowned. I looked at the dog, yelled “f…!” as I was still on the phone, jumped in the pool to save the darn dog and came back to the phone. The customer laughed and decided to place more orders with us.
Last but not least, the day Federal Mogul/Bentley Harris shows up at 8 am to sell us products and I open the door in my flannel pyjamas, coffee in hand, eyes barely open, and I call the Marketing Director on my cell phone to remind him of the appointment. And the BenHar rep. almost drops dead on me as the MD casually gets out of the samll yacht that’s docked in our backyard and walks in, also in his flannel getup. Priceless!

Val, you never told me about the spray paint incident…
Well, I mean, at my old age, I'm not supposed to be tagging!
Noticed your Webblog bookmarked on Reddit.I appreciate your web blog and marketing and advertising tactic. Verify out my Farmville Guideline if you get yourself a moment.
Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do some research about this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more from this post. I am very glad to see such great information being shared freely out there.
